This standard ensures the quality of manufacturing is controlled from receipt of raw materials right through to dispatch of finished product.

 

BS 7412

 

Nova PVCu Windows carry this Kitemark. It ensures all components meet defined requirements for corrosion resistance, strength, security and safety. Settanta and Belvedere windows have, and regularly do, undergo severe air, water and wind performance testing as part of the Kitemark requirements.

 

You can be extra confident that whatever the weather throws at your windows, Settanta and Belvedere will be more than a match.

 

BS 7950/7412

 

In these security conscious times, this Kitemark represents a significant step forward in the window industry. It provides a benchmark for window security. NOVA Settanta and Belvedere windows carry this Kitemark and have been rigorously tested both manually and mechanically for resistance to break-in.

 

Regular samples are selected and tested at BSI to ensure they meet this exacting standard. NOVA have a purpose built security test rig, and through constant development we are able to pride ourselves on being one step ahead of the competition. That is why NOVA were one of the first companies to be awarded the BS 7950/7412 Kitemark and are well respected for window security.

 

BS EN 1279-2/3: 2002

 

This well known Kitemark symbol shows that NOVA double glazed units meet the BSI’s requirements for Quality and Performance.

 

They regularly undergo independent stringent tests for weathering, and have enabled NOVA to confidently offer a full 10 year guarantee on units installed in our PVCu windows or doors.

 

BS EN 12150-2

 

Toughened safety glass in windows and doors is becoming more important for meeting UK building regulations. Nova’s very own state of the art Tamglass toughening furnace allows production of our own quality toughened safety glass for use in building.

 

This Kitemark represents our commitment to quality by meeting the strict requirements of the BS EN 12150-2 standard. Regular testing is carried out during daily operations and also external testing at BSI is carried out at regular intervals to ensure only the highest quality glass is produced.

 

PAS 23-1 antd PAS 24-1 Fabricator

 

The accreditation for general performance and enhanced security tests PAS 23 and PAS 24, are a requirement in meeting ‘Secured By Design’ and other building codes.

Established 25 years ago, Ultraframe keep their systems at the cutting edge of conservatory technology through constant evolutionary development.

 

They not only test in their own laboratory and test facilities, but they also use independent third party accreditation and testing agencies such as Wintech and the British Board of Agrément to add further credibility to their own data. In fact, every Ultraframe conservatory roofing system carries a 25-year BBA (British Board of Agrement) life expectancy certificate and was the first in the industry to hold this accreditation.

Secured By Design Windows and Doors

Secured by Design is the UK Police flagship initiative owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), which supports the principles of “designing out crime” by use of effective crime prevention and security standards.

 

Settanta and Belvedere windows and doors have been put through rigorous testing and have been accepted by the police as meeting the exacting standards of the scheme.

Both the Nova Settanta and Belvedere window suites meet the Certass ‘A’ to ‘G’ energy efficiency rating scheme (when calculated in accordance with BS EN ISO 10077-2) and easily surpass the requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations in England and Part J of the Building Regulations in Scotland.

 

Chas Accreditation

 

CHAS was established in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across Great Britain, and to reduce duplicated safety applications for both suppliers and buyers.

 

Being CHAS approved reduces duplication, because supplier's compliance is accepted by all CHAS buyers.

Lead Free Profile
